I have enabled a new matchmaking feature, that sends you an email notification every time a profile joins or is modified so it matches 60% of what you have set in your profile as looking for.

If you receive notifications of matches that are not what you are looking for, please, first make sure that all the fields in your profile are filled with the correct information. Especially members who have registered before January 2010 - we transitioned to a new platform and there were fields added and the profiles were 'tweaked" a little. Many of the old members do not have enough information filled in, so if you didn't even put in your date of birth, you will receive notifications for almost all new members existant and registering.

Please send me feedback if the matchmaking is working correctly, and if you think the threshold should be higher than 60%.

And this brings us to the problem that has ensued. With this new feature, I have received at least a couple dozen notifications that the emails the members have set in their profiles were not valid. Remember, by the Terms of Use of Pagan Dating as well as by the rules, you MUST use a valid email, otherwise your account will be deleted. So this is the reason that today we have less members than yesterday, even if we had new members joining overnight.

threshold of matching has been raised to 80%. If you still receive matches that are not correct, please make sure that your profile has the correct information in all fields.

If you still receive matches that are not valid even after your profile is complete, please notify me.
